Open canvas app from model driven app

Hello Community,

We have use case wherein we want to open canvas app from a model driven app.

Use case: Contacts ( members) information is displayed in Model driven app - Active Members view. Once a member record is selected and user selects Get Benefits info ( custom button in the command bar) , a stanalone Canvas app need to be opened. We also need to pass parameters from model driven ( few column details from the selected record) to canvas app. How this can be done?
