Is PowerApps the right solution for me?

Hello everyone, I am trying to find the best way to realize my idea and after some time researching it seems that PowerApps could be the answer, but I would like to get a confirmation from the people already familiar with full spectrum of PowerApps possibilities.

I would like to make an app for gathering data from the field, in order to segment the market properly. For example:

  1. Salesperson would go to a certain outlet in the city and click on "Create new Outlet"
  2. After entering the name of the outlet (or on a separate command) app would collect GPS coordinates.
  3. After that salesperson would select the type of outlet out of the predetermined list.
  4. Depending on the selected type (there are 4 different types) a questionnaire would pop up
  5. After filling in the questionnaire and saving data, app would update online database
  6. Viewing/searching all already entered outlets with the possibility to filter by salesperson and outlet type

Above listed possibilities are absolutely must have and below are some that would be just great to have, but not necessary:

  1. Capturing and sending images of the outlet (with the possibility to rename the image to: OUTLET_NAME_123
  2. Selecting certain outlet and using GPS coordinates via google maps (or some other navigational tool) for route.

Is PowerApps the right tool for me? Can it be used for an app I described?

Thank you in advanced.

    Hi @Simkeoda

    PowerApps definitely can do that.

Connect your apps to Excel in Dropbox / OneDrive or CDS or SPL

    Design and create an App:

    - When you have a button and click to create new outlet (it means NEW Record)

    - You can enter the Outlet name (using TextInput)

    - You can have Dropdown bind-to-Predetermined List for selection

    - GPS location (Lon & Lat) is automatically captured (Location.Longtitude, Location.Latitude... make sure your Phone Location is on)

    - Save and send and update into Cloud Database (Excel in DropBox/OneDrive, CDS, SPL,..)

    - You can have TextInput as search function

    Optional:

    - You can add Camera function to capture images, Name the image, with auto-captured GS Location and send it over to the databased in cloud.
