Hi!

I currently use a Sharepoint list for an inventory/rental app. Sharepoint generates barcodes which the app takes advantage of.

I am considering a move to Dataverse (just got access). I am a rookie to Dataverse, but I have searched quite a bit, without an answer.

Is it possible for Dataverse to create a barcode per item, like Sharepoint?
Or even better, QR-codes?

Hi @mrstian89 ,

You are trying to generate a barcode for the Dataverse rows, there is no native type on the Dataverse table for this. I would run a flow on the creation of the record in the Dataverse and have the flow create the QR or Barcode and store as an image on the record. Example flow doing similar to this: https://ulrikke.akerbak.com/2021/09/28/attendee-check-in-create-qr-code-with-flow/

You can create an image field and store the Barcode a an Image File.

Or else if you want to show Each Record with Bar Code inside the record, please use https://pcf.gallery/barcode-generator/
