How to edit Sort function on simple Excel app

I am very new to Powerapps and still trying to figure out some basic functions.

I generated an app from an excel table, and with the sort button, the formula says: UpdateContext({SortDescending1: !SortDescending1}). But it doesn't say what it is sorting by. Does anyone know how to change this to where I can select what column/data variable it is sorted by instead of the default.

Hi @AEngleking ,

Check the below:
Ensure that SortDescending1 added on the Item of the gallery where you are listing the Excel items.
The items formula on the gallery should be as below:

Sort(excelTableName,SortDescending1)

I'm not sure what that means. That's exactly what I am trying to figure out. Again, I am very new. What do you mean by code?

Hi @AEngleking ,

Since you are really new to PA. Try this:
Select the gallery you see all the records on the screen.
Select the Items property of the gallery
Share us the formula to help you better to fix your issue.
