Getting Error while solution deployment

Hi there,

I am trying to deploy an unmanaged solution into production environment where there is already an unmanaged solution exists.

But, I am getting following error while importing into PROD env -

Error Message: Solution "Solution Name" failed to import: Cannot update Option set-ev_dailyentry_ev_projecttype, Id:{some random GUID} because IsGlobal information provided True doesn't match the value stored in DB false.

Please help me out.

@Dipak_Shaw It sounds like you might have a Choice column already defined for a specific Table in the target environment and your solution import is trying to overwrite it because the solution contains a shared/global choice that uses the same logical name maybe? This would need to be resolved in the source environment, for example, by deleting the global choice and recreating it with a new logical name

But in the target environment there are data which have the choice values. If I delete in source environment and export it then in the target environment the data will be deleted. Am I right?

@Dipak_Shaw No, because you said you're deploying as unmanaged in your target. Unmanaged solution deployments are only additive and will not delete components.

My earlier reply was just a guess to be clear. So I would recommend you compare your source and target to identify the components which are actually causing the problem. You should not rely on my guess.
