Hi,

Looking for some help.

I have a PowerApps Form leveraging a SharePoint list and I'm using the attachments to upload items of evidence in an internal audit.

My problem is it will only save csv, pdf, jpg, png and eml but will not save xlsx, pptx or docx, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this please?

Many thanks

Marty

    Hi @martyrhoward ,

    There is no reason from a system point of view it would do this (I attach Excel and Word files all the time). What message do you get when you try to save ?

    @WarrenBelz thanks for picking up so quickly, much appreciated.

    So this is how it goes, 'Edit all' mode attach files:

    Save and then open form up again:

     excel and word files have not saved 🤔

    Cheers

    @WarrenBelz  sorry I failed to mention I have tried saving one at a time but the same outcome and also restricting the OnAddFile properties on the attachments card but again alas, no luck ☹️

    I'd seen from some previous topics these were the go to fixes.

    Hi @martyrhoward ,

    You might try recreating the attachment control (unless the Work and Excel Documents are over your MaxSize or you are over your MaxAttachments). There is no reason on a standard attachment control that any particular type of file will not save

    Unfortunately I have tried both these (also just tried again) and still won't save the Excel or Word. Bizarrely this is like this on all my lists, so potentially a SharePoint setting?

    Cheers

    @martyrhoward ,

    Sorry, makes no sense - I have never seen this before. Did you try a new attachment control in a new form ?

    @WarrenBelz

    I have just tried a new list and before leveraging PowerApps, checked it and it worked.

    I will now try customising the form in PA and see what happens.

    So, I've cutomised the form in PA and it does exactly the same thing.

    Before Save:

    After Save:

    Most bizarre 😕

    @martyrhoward ,

    It may be a futile exercise, but did you try a different Work and Excel file ?

    @WarrenBelz I did, same result ☹️
