Hey guys.
Am trying to do this: Insert rows by the press of a button to a sharepoint list
PS: easier by illustration.
Hi @loopingmurdock ,
By your illustration that's a column you are trying to add.. Or that's a bad illustration.
This new row/column contains any data and you trying to add by press of a button inside a Power App I believe?Please give us more information what you are trying to achieve.
On the moment I don't understand what's the issue here.._____________________________________________________________________________________Please give a thumbs up if I resolved your issue! Please click Accept as Solution to close the topic!
To add a new row, you can use Patch function -
Patch(DatasourceName, Defaults(DatasourceName), {Title: TextInput1.Text})
Yes sorry, a new column. and the header will be the date of the today, the cells will be updated in the day by the user
Then you don't need to insert a new column using your App.
Go to your SharePoint list and create a new Date column.
Then using the formula that @NandiniBhagya20 provided you can patch a new row in the list.
Patch(DatasourceName, Defaults(DatasourceName), {YourNewDateColumn: Now()})

I get error, that "newcolunm" does not exist
Patch('Test-Row-calcul', Defaults('Test-Row-calcul'), {NewColunm: Now()})
After creating a new column try to Refresh your datasource and try again..
a small typo mistake in your code maybe?
Patch('Test-Row-calcul', Defaults('Test-Row-calcul'), {NewColumn: Now()})
