I have cascading drop downs issue

I have cascading dropdowns called Assign To and Assign To Manager.

When I select a value in Assign To, the Assign To Manager field gets its text value correctly, but it does not save to SharePoint because that column is of Person or Group type.

To handle this, I have set a variable on the OnChange event of the Assign To dropdown:

Set(
varIBSManager,
LookUp(
'Sales Employees Group List',
'Employee Email'.Email = DataCardValue26.Selected.Email,
First('Reporting Manager Name').Email
)
)

Then, in the Assign To Manager dropdown, I am setting the value using this selected variable.

    helps you with the issue

    if you are using Form manager data card update property you need to set as

    With(
        {
            withManager: LookUp(
                'Sales Employees Group List',
                'Employee Email'.Email = DataCardValue26.Selected.Email
            )
        },
        {
            Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(withManager.Email),
            Department: "",
            DisplayName: withManager.'Reporting Manager Name',
            Email: withManager.Email,
            JobTitle: "",
            Picture: ""
        }
    )

    not sure how datasource looks like but in plain words you need to use manager email and displayname in formula
