Dataverse Relationships between 3 tables

Hello,

I have 3 tables: DataProduct with 1:N relationship to Phase that in addition has 1:N relationship to Dependencies.

In a form for DataProduct I need to have 2 lists: one for Phases (related to this DataProduct) and one for Dependencies (related to mentioned Phases).

For now I managed only to have matching Phases. How can I achieve seeing only related Dependencies as well?

Best regards,

Alexandra

P.S. Microsoft advices to tag some guys being very smart answering similar questions @LinnZawWin , @dpoggemann 🙂

I have the same question (0)

easiest way will be to create a relationship between DataProduct and Dependencies to store also the Phase's DataProduct when a Phase and a Dependency are connected. There are several ways to try to fill this relationship automatically, you can try with mapping first, otherwise needs some code like plugins.

Question: what do you mean by "Microsoft advices to tag some guys"? do you mean that a Microsoft employee suggested to write in this forum (and this I totally understand) and tagging specific people?

Hello! What do you mean by "several ways to try to fill this relationship automatically"? Any examples?

As to tagging specific people it means tagging those whom you know as they are knowledgeable in related topic.

@AAI the examples is the ones I wrote, mapping for example you can read this blog https://readyxrm.blog/2017/02/01/dynamics-365-entity-field-mappings-explained/

for plugins is by code so you will need a programmer.

Regarding the "tagging", I understand what means, but you can tell to the Microsoft employee that the people you tagged do not work for Microsoft and they spend their free time to reply on forums, so this doesn't mean they are free workers for Microsoft.
