Form error -

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 115

I'm new to SharePoint and even newer to Power Apps.
I've created a list in SharePoint and a form in Power Apps.
The form was working fine to populate my list.

I had a field on my form (date closed) that was giving me grief, so I deleted it.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my new issues, but when I try to create a new item with the form, I get an error.

My form has two required fields - Priority & Status.

When  I try to save, I get this error:

Field 'Date_x002f_Time_x0020_Ticket_x00' is required.

Even when every field on the form is filled in.

Any suggestions how I might resolve?

Thanks!
Amber

You have deleted field from Power App but it is present in the share point. If it is a required type of field in SharePoint or you can any formula applied there then remove it once from SharePoint and then try. you can apply all logic and validation in the power app itself.

Note: Please mark verified, if it is useful for you

It appears you have a field called Date/Time Ticket in your SharePoint list that is mandatory. Have a look in your SharePoint List Settings.

    Hi there,
    That was my assumption too.

I deleted it from Sharepoint as well. I did recreate a new field called Ticket Closed - but this was yesterday after the issue started.

These are my sharepoint list columns:

    Thanks!

There is a corruption in there somewhere I suspect - did you try recreating a new Form ?

Okay, since I can't figure out how to delete a power apps form (even after switching back to the default Sharepoint form) - I create a new form in Power Apps.

How do I get Sharepoint to use this form instead of the original form?

    Thanks,
    Amber

    Hi

Can you please verify for sure 100%, that you deleted it from the correct environment and are in fact using that one.

I would suggest as a test, to (not delete yet), just create a new Form. When you do see if that field is there. If so then you are in the wrong environment.

If not, then you need to delete the form, and start over as the server cache seems incorrect (what Warran said).

When you say verify 100% it's deleted - do you mean the field or the form?
    I'm pretty sure it's deleted.

I assume the field - I can't figure out how to delete the form.

I went into Power Apps directly (not via Sharepoint) then created a new form there, linked to the fields in Sharepoint.
In this form, I have access to all the fields in my list, and that one isn't there.

How do I delete the form?

And how do I link to my new form?

    Thanks,
    Amber
