Our client is trying to use the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook to attach emails to records in custom entities. We've modified the app and added the custom entities, saved and published. But when searching for the records inside Outlook on the Dynamics 365 panel, it's not finding records in the custom tables. We have this working in our development environment, but it's not working in the client environment. We have confirmed that the client's Outlook settings are looking at the correct Power Apps env. Are there any other settings we're missing that will get this working for them?
The App for Outlook is actually an App in your Dataverse Database, which means it also needs any custom tables to be added to it manually. From the Maker interface, go to your list of Apps and find the Outlook App. Open it in the editor and add the custom tables to it.
Hi cchannon,
We've already done that part. We modified the app and added the custom tables. They are still not showing up in the search results
What about the Quick Create form? The app for Outlook can only open QC forms, so if you haven't set them up, those tables won't appear.

The users aren't trying to open a form for the custom tables. They're clicking on the "magnifying glass" search button, not the New (quick create) Menu. We have it working in another environment without enabling Quick Create for the custom tables.
Oh, ok, I clearly misunderstood.
So you're talking about the RECORDS not appearing in the lookup. Have you confirmed that the same users in a model driven app CAN see these records, in order to eliminate roles as a possibility?
Yes, that has been confirmed.
What about the View in the app? Does it maybe have some weird filter on it?
Would that be the Advanced Find View? I checked it and any others that might be in play. The only filter is Status=Active. And the expected records are active.
But are they added to the app?
(Really hope we're getting close because I'm running out of ideas, lol)
All views and forms are included in the app for the custom tables
