Hello! I was searching for a timer app in Teams and it suggested creating a workflow.
I tried using this feature. Adding the workflow seemed to go fine.
But then I tried to run it and was told there are no flows to run.
So I went to the Flows Portal. The flow is there. I used the flow checker and it has no errors or warnings.
I went into the edit function to try and understand the logic of the flow. I have not used this app, but this looks like a pretty straight forward function. I think I get it. Its just an out of the box feature that prompts how long you want to set the alarm for and if you want a notification and then has a delay on the notification based on the input. I tried using the test feature and got an error that "This flow cannot be triggered for testing" and "there are not runs for this flow".
I did some google-fu and kept finding solutions to problems that are more complicated than my end goal and way more complicated than where I'm getting stuck. I was hoping I could self teach myself by tweaking a simple tool for my particular needs, but this seems broken out of the box. I seriously hope I'm missing something super obvious. Is there an "Activate" button? Do I need to say "please"? Any help for this n00b is appreciated.
Thanks,
I had the same issue. Go to the chat or channel you want your timer to be on and in the activity bar click the three dots and search for workflows.
Then select workflows and the start a timer will show.
Click start a timer and then fill out the details of the timer. I clicked "Notify myself when message is posted?" otherwise I don't know how it alerts that the timer is up.
Hope this helps.
