Filter options on Gallery other than ascending & descending

I have created an inventory app and each item is categorized by the type of item (glasses, China, silverware, etc.).  I am wanting to filter the gallery by those categories. It is a single required column with the drop down menu. I do not want to have the ascending/ descending filter options.

For example: Red Wine Glass (has a category of Steam-ware) When hitting the filter button, I want to have the option to filter by category (China, glassware, silverware, etc.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You can have a static dropdown with items ["China","Glassware","Silverware","etc.."] and then filter based on what the user chooses from that dropdown using something like this is the items property of gallery:

    Filter(InventoryList, Category = Dropdown.Selected.Value)

This will only show items with the selected category in the gallery.
