Hi,

I'm investigating the new git integration (which is still in preview).

When I try to connect one environment to git, only the current organization is provided in the organization dropdown.

Is there a way to connect my environment to a DevOPS org not in the same tenant ?

Basically, our company use a production tenant, which owns the Devops organization (lets call it TenantPROD), but use a dedicated dev tenant to host the power automate development (I'll call it TenantDEV).

I tried to invite my TenantDEV user to TenantPROD and assign permissions to the "prod" dev ops organization, but no success.

Is it possible?
What can I have missed?

Thanks

Unfortunately it isn't possible while in preview,
Is it based on your own experience, or is there some official statement somewhere?

Also be aware (it caught me off guard). Currently, once you set up the Git integration, you can't change it.

Unfortunately it isn't possible while in preview, it is based on the tenant. I have 1 user account that is a part of my internal Tenant and also my client's Tenant. If I try to setup Git in my internal D365 tenant then I only see my internal ADO org. If I try to set it up in my client's Tenant, I only see my client's ADO org.

Currently, Git integration only supports linking environments within the same tenant. Since your DevOps organization is in TenantPROD and your Power Automate environment is in TenantDEV, direct connection isn’t possible by default. Even after inviting your TenantDEV user as a guest in TenantPROD and assigning permissions, it may not work due to multi-tenant limitations. You might need to explore other methods like using Azure DevOps APIs or GitHub integration for cross-tenant support.
