How to Display Custom Date Format "dd/mmm/yyyy" in Classic Date Picker Control?

I'm using the classic Date Picker control (DatePickerCanvas) in Power Apps, and I want to display the selected date in a custom format like "dd/mmm/yyyy" (e.g., 21/Aug/2025). I’ve tried using:

Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, "[$-en-US]dd/mmm/yyyy")
and also:

Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, "dd") & "/" & Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, "mmm") & "/" & Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, "yyyy")

But neither seems to work correctly. The output doesn't match the expected format. Is there a reliable way to achieve this in Power Apps, or is this a known limitation?

Only below Format are available date 'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.Short ,'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.LongAbbreviated and 'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.YearMonth,

Any help or workaround would be appreciated!

    I have used the classic control and Format property of the classic control i have given the format as "dd/mmm/yyyy" the selected date is coming in the respective format without any issues.

    Can you please let me know what is the issue which you are facing exactly?

    Hi,

    - The DatePicker control can only render its own built‑in formats (Short/LongAbbreviated/YearMonth). Use the control only for selection, then display the formatted value in a separate Label/ext input.

    - Set the Label’s Text to:
    Text(DatePickerCanvas.SelectedDate, "dd/mmm/yyyy")
    //if showing on label

    Text(ThisItem.Date,"[$-en-US]dd/mm/yyyy")
    //if showing inside form control, display form

    Prevent locale auto-conversion:
    Text(DatePickerCanvas.SelectedDate, "dd/mmm/yyyy", "en-US")
    //if showing directly into label from datepicker
