Test calculation - Triangle side length

Hi all

I’m new to chatbot creation and I’m trying to get calculations to work through power automate, I really hope someone can help.

Put simply I want a colleague to input the angle and adjacent length of a triangle and the bot works out the opposite length.
I’m finding it difficult to recreate the ‘tan angle x adjacent length’ in power automate then send the answer back to the bot. Easy eh?

Any assistance would be great.

Many thanks in advance

    hi @lascough20

have you looked at the trigonometry functions available in powerfx? Acos, Acot, Asin, Atan, Atan2, Cos, Cot, Degrees, Pi, Radians, Sin, and Tan functions - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

    Hi @remidyon

Thanks for that, I've managed to sort the calculation side through Excel. I'm now able to insert the data from PVA into Excel rows BUT am struggling to return the correct information back to PVA.

So the user inputs the 'load' and 'angle' data into the Chatbot and this is successfully transferring to Excel (see below, columns A & B).

What I need to happen is for the Chatbot to provide the user with the answer from column D (Slip). How do I get the flow selecting from the correct row?

Probably easy but not for me.....

    Thanks

    Lee
