Opportunity and lead tables

Hello,

We tried to build a custom model-driven PowerApps app using the standard tables. We created an environment without enabling Dynamics 365 apps so that we could use the restricted tables freely with PowerApps licenses (in our understanding, they are not restricted in this scenario since no Dynamics 365 app is installed).

In this environment, I can’t find tables like Opportunity or Leads (and many others), which are not even part of the restricted tables. Is there a way I can add them without installing the D365 Sales Hub ?

It seems to be the only way to access these tables (given the information we found online). But it would mean that we can’t use the restricted tables since a Dynamics 365 app would be installed.

Is there a way to access these tables without installing a Dynamics 365 app ? If not, would it mean that I can’t access the restricted tables ?

Thank you for your time.
Regards,

    @KMA

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can access the tables unless the user has a Dataverse or Dynamics365 license.

These tables are installed as part of sales hub, unfortunately there is no way to get them without installing it.

However you could install it, then deactivate the app, which would mean users are unable to log in to the app and use it (in effect it will sit quietly in the background)

Keep in mind that they are no restricted tables, so you can use them in a custom app... Without a sales license (for example I have an app licenced on power apps per app)

    Hello ,

    Thank you for your feedback.

To be honest, I knew I had to do this operation to get the tables but I didn't want to influence a response.

Is there another way to do it?

My goal is to be able to use dataverse and its standard tables without having to acquire even for 5 min a D365 license and then install a Hub. I want to be 100% sure that the dataverse environment does not turn into restricted tables because of a license assigned at a certain time. Microsoft is quite vague about this.

Does anyone have any additional information, guarantees from microsoft or documentation about this operation?

    Thanks in advance,

Since 2022 release wave 1 Sales Hub is installed on all new environments by default you will not need to purchase a D365 license in order to install it, in fact it will already be installed on setting it up (similar to how customer service hub and solution checker is installed)

This documentation shows which tables are restricted
