OneDrive Connection Issues

Hello,

I would like to play-and-learn about the use of PVAs. I started by suggesting a topic and for that purpose I included a link to a PDF file located in OneDrive. Before including such link I made sure that the document could be accessed by anyone with a link. However, every time I provide the link, I receive the following message: "We couldn't connect to this link, or it is not secure. Make sure it is secure (beginning with https://) and that it is a working link."

The link I included is https://1drv.ms/b/s!AlfD73m34ETMgTfj024c9w8YJplb?e=CAGn7f it is secure but, apparently, cannot be accessed by the PVA.

Any recommendations on how to make this possible would be highly appreciated.

    Hi @MLGUA,

A 1drv.ms type of link is a shortened link. It redirects to the actual file.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-get-the-original-link-for-a-shortened/043d9a09-cb30-49d9-af19-f7d642235487

My guess is that this service cannot handle this type of Shortened Urls.

The documentation also specifies the below:

When using an online file, you must provide the full URL to the location of the file, including the file extension. For example https://www.contoso.com/support.pdf.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/advanced-create-topics-from-web#extract-content-from-webpages-or-online-files
