can I use other data sources like sharepoint online,SQL to leverage the offline capabilty? when I look at in power apps setting in the general tab that can be used offline toggle  it says dataverse only.

    The PowerApps setting you refer to provides built-in support for connecting to your Dataverse tables.
     
    But, there are other methods.
     
    I suggest an article from the PowerApps Documentation that suggests what you want is possible through LoadData and SaveData functions.
