Licensing: Authenticated vs Anonymous

In short, I'm writing to ask if buying licenses for Authenticated users (200$/100users) is necessary for my PowerApps application with usage of the "User().FullName" function/method. I need the "User().FullName" to return their actual name, which it does in my development environment testing.

My employees already login with Microsoft Teams and Duo, and our and we have no use for further authentication.

I'd much rather buy the anonymous user licenses (75$/500users).

Please note that unless you are building a Power Pages website, then those authenticated/unauthenticated licenses are not applicable. You'll need to get a Power Apps license for your canvas app if you're using premium features in the app. That's either $5/user/month/app or $20/user/month for unlimited apps.

If you are having them login via MS Teams then they are authenticated users and that is the license you'll need to buy.
