100 characters max Dataverse?

If I change the maximum characters of a text column in Dataverse from the default of 100 characters, do I also need to republish the app as well? I’m not ready to republish yet and the app works in the editor but users are reporting that they are still getting the 100 character error? I can’t understand why I would need to republish when I have only changed the Dataverse column?

No you don't need to republish the whole app, but you do need to republish the table itself. You should be able to do that from the solution when viewing all tables.
The users will likely need to refresh their browser in order to draw in the latest changes.

Many thanks. I don’t understand why it works fine for me though when previewing the app from inside the editor?

It's probably because you're in edit mode that you are able to see the unpublished changes. There's probably a check in there somewhere that lets system customizers see unpublished changes even in the app editor, but prevents that display to non-system customizers.
