Advice on building a bespoke power app

I need a room booking system for my work place built with very specific needs to our team. The booking system will cover 2 different departments both of which have differing needs. I know that you can build power apps within MS 365 currently in the process of learning via Linked in and due to attend MS training on, 'an app in a day', next week.

Looking for advice on how best to build this ? Should we seek a power apps developer or is this something easily learnt? or am i biting off more than i can chew!!!

If you're attending an in-person 'app in a day' event next week, I would suggest that you gather the requirements of what you want to achieve and to ask the advice of your instructor. You can then make a better assessment as to whether or not you can accomplish this yourself.

The complexity of the task and whether you need to seek a Power Apps developer will depend on what the requirements are.

For example, are there pre-allocated time slots that you would assign, or should users be able to request arbitrary start and end datetimes? The formula to retrieve free/available time can be problematic so this is an area where you may need additional help.

In the meantime, you can also study the 'book a room' template which may contain content that useful for you.
