As of a few weeks ago, all of my canvas apps have this annoying little tag hanging out next to any active multiline text field asking me to use the nannybot to draft. I don't know what specifically they would draft. Many of these fields are autofilled based on lookups from a data source, and there's literally no place in my apps where this would be helpful for any of my end users.
Can this be disabled. More to the point, can Microsoft take several seats with its rollout of AI? Don't even care that they're working on it -- It should just be opt-in instead of not even being able to opt out.
/rant over, thanks for listening.
If you use your apps in-browser and have uBlock Origin, you may find this custom filter rule helpful. (As always, use at your own risk and don't trust strangers online with code.)
! 2024-05-01 Block "Draft with Copilot" pop-up in PowerApps
apps.powerapps.com##.css-103.root-171.ms-Callout > div > button[title="Draft with Copilot"]
@larsenzr I completely agree with you. As currently implemented it's an irritating and frankly unnecessary feature. So far for my apps I have zero interest in this feature and wish to disable it.
That said, may I suggest that we as app developers be provided with controls to enable "Draft with Copilot" on a per-text field basis so it can be targeted to fields where it will actually provide some benefit to our users. We'd also need positioning controls so that the pop-up appears in an appropriate position within the app (not blocking labels for other fields as is currently the case).
