Model Driven Apps vrs Dynamics 365 Unified Interface

Hi All

 

Could someone please help me with a question.  When creating an app within Dynamics 365 CE and selecting the Unified Interface option, I understand that it is using the PowerApps Control Framework, but is it essentially a Model Drive Power App.
