Custom Card Default and Update Missing

I built a power app quite a while ago that links to a SharePoint list. I need to add a custom data card to a form and when I do Default and Update are missing. The others have it but those were created in the past and I can't remember what I did different.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Sean

What type of input are inside that card?  You'll likely need to show a screenshot of your app.

For a text input you would do something like this

    Default property:

    ThisItem.your_column_name

    Update property:

    TextInput1.Text

    Hi @SeanK1

The best thing to do is to add a normal card, unlock it, and then customise it. @iAm_ManCat provides a better explanation here.

    Hi @SeanK1 ,

Do you want to add a custom data card in your Edit form, then bind it to a specific field in your SP List?

According to the issue that you mentioned, actually, it is an known limit with custom data card. When you add custom data card in your Edit form, it would not own Update and Default property.

Only these data cards generated from your data source would have the Update and Default property. If you want to bind the custom data card to a specific field in your SP list, you could consider enable the corresponding field data card within your Edit form, then made some changes to it.

Currently, custom data card could not be bind to a field in your data source through the Edit form.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

    Best regards,

Thank you so much for your help. I was able to find the issue. I had the form pointed to a custom data source which was causing the problem. I temporarily pointed it to an actual list and was able to add the cards I needed.

Sorry it had been a while since I touched this powerapp and it is not something I do regularly.

Thank you again for your help!
