Hello,

Can you please share the key difference between  Office 365 for PowerApps and PowerApps per user plan? basically when should user move to PowerApps per user plan license?

How do I identified users who are not using PowerApps per user plan license?

Note : Current analytics/CoE Reports does not provide above information, therefore kindly address the detail which has information asked regarding finding out the unused PowerApps per user license.

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

Power Apps per user plan covers the use of Premium connectors, like Dataverse and SQL. Office 365 for Power Apps only covers standard connectors, like SharePoint and Excel.

    Thank you @Pstork1

Does it mean, if user accessing an app which has a premium connector, that user has to have a PowerApps per user license?

How can I identify users who need premium licenses based on list of users I have?

How can I identify users who are not utilizing the premium licenses even it's assigned to them?

    Thanks,

Users who access apps that have Premium connectors will need either a per app or per user license.  The Per user license covers an unlimited number of apps.  The per app license only covers one.  There is a PowerShell command that you can use to get a report on licensing assigned to users.

    Get-AdminPowerAppLicenses -OutputFilePath '<licenses.csv>'

    Hi @tom555 ,

There are several factors which influence the decision on when to use per app plan and when to go for per user plan.

Pricing is one of the key difference.

You choose per user plan when an user wants to access many apps.

You choose per app plan when you know there will be one app and many users wants to access it.

    see the pricing simulation below.

To know the details of users who did not utilize their license, there is a future solution expected. Please refer this post.

Unfortunately the command only lists MPP licenses users - while  my requirement is  "who are not utilizing the premium licenses?" - How can I identify that? even using the Power Automate would be good to know!

The CSV that is produced by that command lists licenses for Office 365, Per User, and Trial licenses.  Premium would be either trial or Per user.  Look at the Service column in connection with the License column.  That gives you what you want.
