Hi,
I have been tasked with updating the COE starter Kit in our dev tenant.
It is currently not working , not being used and installed using the wrong identity.
I am looking at the easiest and least painful way of getting the latest solution up and running.
Can I just delete the environment it is currently installed in - create a new environment and then install from scratch?
Any guidance appreciated!
Billy
No, You only install the Starter Kit in a separate Environment with limited access. The Starter Kit will then be used for the Admins to monitor all environments and their contents
Hi, do we have to install CoE starter kit on every single PROD environment?
@RealBillyBoola : you can delete existing dev if it is not in use but there will not be any conflicts installing the coe starter kit in a separate environment which got a dataverse. There will not be any interaction between two environments as those envs act as separate containers.
Hi @Velegandla , thanks for your reply and advise.
I am just wondering though - can I just delete the environment in dev, where it is currently installed and start aftresh?
my concern is that there will be potential conflicts that may interfere with the new installation.
I want to install it under different identity as per MS guidance.
I would recommend creating a new set of environments coe-dev and coe-prod. You can start deploying the starter kit in dev and test it before releasing it to the production. Always test the upgrades in you coe-dev environment so its not breaking in the production.
Also in the dev environment, you can set a variable as non production so it will not send emails to people when you turn on the flows.
