Creating a Template Sublist for Product Tracking in SharePoint and Power Apps

Hi all,

I am trying to create a template sublist that is connected to each item of an upper list. The goal is to have a product list and a sublist that tracks the different tasks for each product, the status of the individual tasks, and the possibility of leaving comments for the individual tasks. The sublist containing the tasks, status, and comments is supposed to be a template that is the same for all products going through production. Additionally, when adding a new product to the list, an individual sublist should be automatically created to track the progress of that specific product.

Specifically, I need:

  1. A main list (product list) where each item represents a product.
  2. A template sublist that includes tasks, status, and comments.
  3. Automation to ensure that when a new product is added to the main list, a corresponding sublist (based on the template) is created for that product.
  4. The ability for users to update the status and add comments to the tasks in the sublist.

Any guidance on how to achieve this using SharePoint and Power Apps would be greatly appreciated.

A very broad question - your structure looks right - I would add a numeric field to the second list to store the ID of the relevant product. All of that is certainly possible in Power Apps - if you have a specific process you have attempted and are having problems, please post it here and I am sure someone can assist,
