Custom Prompt, Read Email, and Read CV - POSSIBLE?

Trying to figure out how this GPT prompt works...And maybe my expectations are high. But what I am trying to do extract data from emails coming in subject header Comp Request. I want it to give me what compensation request they want, what specialty and what type of provider then, the wishful thinking part, Is to scrub the CV which is typically a PDF to determine the years of experience. Is that possible?

I am just guessing here without knowing anything, maybe someone can guide me on how to build this if this is possible...

Hi @wherdzik ,

That's a great use case, thanks for bringing that could be handled using the Create text with GPT using a prompt action. Couple of recommendations:

Separate both instructions into 2 separate actions, so you can have the information you want in an isolated way:

1 prompt action to get the type. Make sure to restrict the answer by adding something like "Answer only with the type and don't add other commentary"

1 prompt to extract data from the attachment

You can't pass directly a document to the prompt for now. What you can do is first doing an OCR that will get all the text from the document attached and then pass the result of this OCR to the prompt. Thank you for answering so quickly. I am very new at this so I will have to weekend warrior it. I may post more questions down the road. when I picked a random resume or cv online and fed it to the GPT4 model on OpenAIs website. It seemed to have scrubbed it well and gave me a numerical years of experience. But not all CVs are structured well and they are a bit unstructured sometimes so I am curious how well the model does. I could use this to feed a linear regression model to see if I can set part of my job as partially automated. Very interesting stuff.
