Hi, I've currently combined all my barcodes data to 1 QR code, and with 1 scan it will shows multiple information with ";" as separator.
I'd like to seek guidance, is there a way with 1 scan to the QR,

possible OnScan grab the QR information and break all the information with the ";" separator to its individual text box as defined,

then OnSelect Submit button, will submit a new list entry to Sharepoint list.

sample scan as such below
20241103;productA;300;cell7;slot2;

Sharepoint List name: Listing
Column: Date, SKU, QTY, Post, Vert

Help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Hi OtisZZZ,

    Once you have scanned your bar code, you can store it in a Text Label or a variable before saving the details to the SharePoint list. You can use this label to extract the necessary information for each column and patch it to SharePoint. Here's how I did it.

    OnSelect property of the Patch statement:
    Patch(
        SPList,
        Defaults(SPList),
        {
            Date: Date(
                Left(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    4
                ),
                Mid(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    5,
                    2
                ),
                Mid(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    7,
                    2
                )
            ),
            SKU: Index(
                Split(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    ";"
                ),
                2
            ).Value,
            QTY: Value(
                Index(
                    Split(
                        BarCode_Txt.Text,
                        ";"
                    ),
                    3
                ).Value
            ),
            Post: Index(
                Split(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    ";"
                ),
                4
            ).Value,
            Vert: Index(
                Split(
                    BarCode_Txt.Text,
                    ";"
                ),
                5
            ).Value
        }
    )

    Like this you should be able to save the details in your SharePoint with a click of a button or, add this code to the OnScan property and see if it works for you.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Nandit

    Hi Nandit,

    Thanks for the idea. I did a slight change though inspiring from your suggestion and solution.

    What I did was:
    1. add a text label to capture the scan data.
    2. then i added more text label representing the column info.
    3. i add in the MID LEFT RIGHT function to each column to separate the text content captured. (allow user to verify the info accuracy)
    4. Add a submit button to submit the data to Sharepoint.

    Thanks for the help! that solved my issue quickly.
