Hello everyone,

I was thinking about one think. Can i merge two DataCard in Form on te PowerApps app?
I know that it is possible to connect them horizontally but is there an option for a vertical connection?

I would like to combine the two lines highlighted in the screenshot. The field thats need to stay is "Attachment".
And i want to stay with that columns "Attachment" and "Comment" are thicker that the others.

Thanks for all advice, greetings MW

    hey

is your question if you somehow can include the comments datacar into the attachements one? if yes, there is no way cause you can not store a text in the attachements column type. and also no attachements in a text column (so the other way round)

If you used form control there is no direct way to merge the two datacards.

However I have add the custom data card and place the respective control under the datacard .

Instead of submit form, you need to patch values accordingly.

    Note:

If you are using the same form for the edit mode in the Items Property and default property we need to use the lookup function to set the values accordingly

You can achive this visually with quite a simple "hack".
Firstly, you need both cards created with the relevant controls - now take the second one you want to add to the first (unlock them both) and cut (not copy) the second control into the first data card (so there are now two controls in there).
You can then put the second data card at the bottom of the form and hide it.You will notice that the Update of the second card still refers to the output of the control you have now moved.
All you need to do then is change the Default of the second control to ThisItem.YourFieldName instead of Parent.Default and it all should work. You can have more than two controls in a card by repeating this process.
