The bot.userdisplayname variable is missing in the licensed version of Power Virtual Agent. In PVA for Teams, the variable is available in the dropdown to return the user display name in Message. Does anyone have an idea on how to enable it?
Hi @Flowingpl,
For these variables to become available, you need to add user authentication to your chatbot.
To change your bot's authentication settings, in the navigation menu under Settings, go to the Security tab and select the Authentication card.
In PVA for Teams, it's by default set to "Only in Teams" as there are no other channels.
This is documented here: Configure user authentication - Power Virtual Agents | Microsoft Learn.
