Hello,
I have created a new app, but I'm facing a weird issue when Scale to Fit is on and Lock Aspect Ration Off, and a Flexible Height Gallery.
Situation
When I'm in the designing screen, the app looks amazing and the app is aligned perfectly:
And yes I'm using the Flexible Height Gallery 😂, so I can add questions later on by just adding rows to the data source.
Issue:
In mobile app, the Flexible Height Gallery acts weird, as shown below:
See the spaces between each row in the gallery?
If I turn it into a normal Gallery (Not flexible height), it works, but I have rows that are different in sizes.
And when I turn On the Lock Aspect Ratio, it works also, but the screen gets eaten by nearly half, and we have many devices that vary in size.
Question:
How to make the Flexible Height Gallery work on Scale to Fit without Locking Aspect Ratio?
Any update on this? Still UI getting distorted in gallery
Hi @Anonymous,
I'm also having the same problem... did you find aworkaround for this one?
@rohsh354 It is giving me an error while trying to submit a ticket, tried 3 times.
Anyway, I have locked the aspect ratio.
@Anonymous
Thanks for additional information. I would suggest opening a Support Ticket with Microsoft to get this investigated further and confirm if its by design or any other underlying issue.

Hello @rohsh354 ,
The issue can be reproduced when you put a Flexible Height Gallery with Lock Aspect Ratio off, put some rectangles inside the gallery, then make the gallery rectangles different sizes, for example in row 1, it is 50, in row 2 it is 250, in row 3 it is 80.
You will notice the distortion.
I don't want to keep Lock Aspect Ratio on because the app looks a lot better on mobile when it is full screen. Lock Aspect Ratio makes it smaller.
Thanks
Hello,
I can reproduce the issue on the mobile app. The width or row spacing changes on mobile app with aspect ratio set to OFF while it shows fine on web browser.
My understanding is that the purpose of "Lock Aspect Ratio" is to prevent distortion in Height and width. If you turn is off, then it can disturb the height/width adjustment. Is there any specific reason why you don't want to turn ON Lock Aspect Ratio?
I don't have a solution, but if you don't hear any other suggestions, I would suggest opening a Support Ticket with Microsoft to get this investigated further.
