Dynamically provide a website URL from a Power Virtual Agents bot to the data source of a Create Generative Answers node

I want to dynamically provide a website URL from a Power Virtual Agents bot to the data source of a Create Generative Answers node. However, the dropdown options for the public website URL only allow "Manual input" and do not accept a "Variable" option. How can I use the URL provided by the Power Virtual Agents bot as the data source for the Create Generative Answers node?

    Hi @siraz1

I experience the same behavior as you.
Let me check internally and keep you posted.

    Hi @HenryJammes,

I like to attach myself here to the topic. In general the option to use variables to build URL or even calling a topic using variables would be awesome.

An URL could be combined like https://mysite.com/{global.selected-topic}/summary.html

When a topic is called, I see in code editor that the calling of the topic is shown as:

              actions:

                - kind: BeginDialog
                  id: IDNUMBER
                  dialog: crXXX_MyServiceBot.topic.topic_sel_1
The dialog being called is shown with the specific name. Using a variable here would avoid using massive switches if you have a lot of options.
The called dialog could say something like:
    dialog: crXXX_MyServiceBot.topic.{global.selected-topic}

As the code editor is written in YAML, is it possible to use PyYaml for python support and use variables or any other way to use variables?

    Hey @siraz1 ,

I have same issue, I had created environment variable as text and store website in it, and use

[Env.hp0201_URL] in power virtual agent formula and it's working fine.

This is the answer.. use a global variable or otherwise and populate the formula with [ variable ]

Remember to include the square brackets.. @Himanshu_90677 - you legend!
