I'm testing a flow I have created the when a button is pushed, it will get items from one SharePoint list, look to see if a string contains specific text and if so, create an item in another SharePoint list. The flow checker doesn't return any errors but when I run the flow I get the message " This flow doesn't need additional input to run .... Location services must be enabled to run this flow. I am not gathering any location data from the flow. How do i resolve this error?
I enjoy giving them a 0-not recommended every time the pop up their NPS survey (which has become quite frequent) and tell them to quit releasing half-baked features and forcing them on everyone as if it's the second coming...
I've been struggling with this problem for the last few hours. Location services in the browser and in the computer are on. Looks like it's finally solved. As other users mentioned, deleting and re-creating the manual trigger fixed it, but only after I turned off "new designer" (see screenshot). This did not help while still in the new designer. Comparing the code view of manual trigger in new designer vs old designer explains why. Manual trigger in the new designer has hidden location fields, while in the old designer it does not (see screenshots).
Bravo Microsoft (with sarcasm turned up to 100).
Just had it happen again out of the blue and noticed I had been working in the new Designer.
So, I think it might also be an issue due to that - try also fixing while in the old Designer.
Just had this issue happen to me on a tiny and simple "parent" flow.
I think what caused it was somewhere along the way I selected the wrong Location from Dynamic variables instead of Calendar Item location. Even though I had fixed that up, it had tripped a hidden flag somewhere until I removed and recreated the "Call a Chile Flow" step but also then the Manual Trigger.
After that I was able to run the flow without it requiring location services enabled.
Sure, that'll make it work, but WHY does MS need to know where in the world I am???
I've run into this on a tiny test flow trying to work out how to do something new. NOTHING in my flow is in any way, shape or form, location based - I have not address data at all. It's a manually triggered automation to do a SQL insert into a database.
Funny thing. I ran this flow earlier today w/o any issue. I added a `Compose` step and all of a sudden it pops up asking for location permissions. OF COURSE, I said "No". They don't need to know where my office is or if I'm working from home or happen to be out of state, but doing an emergency fix on something. None of their freaking business!
My company is already paying MS a fortune for our Enterprise level licensing (including extra money to use the SQL connector), but that's not enough for MS. They need to collect & sell location data to make extra cash.
Disgusting.
Go to Privacy and Security of your browser, my case Google Chrome > Permission > On Location > choose allow.
Thanks, it worked well for me too
I solved it by deleting the site's permission in Edge (delete "make.powerautomate.com") and re-ran the Flow. This time, Edge prompted me to allow access and the Flow ran without issue.
Ran into this too and I deleted the trigger and re-added it and it worked
