Customization of Leave Request Template App - issue/errors

Hi Experts,

I am trying to customize the Leave Request Template App, to reflect my needs in regards to type of leaves, but once I update the App OnStart collection, I am faced with 200+ errors in the "App checker".

I have reviewed all the other treads about this, but its only general suggestions or thigs i already did(as menitoned above).
Those are the threads i found:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-PowerApps-Formerly/PowerApps-Template-Leave-Request/td-p/191780
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-PowerApps-Formerly/Issues-with-request-leave-power-app/m-p/305047#M87680

And the latest one:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-PowerApps-Formerly/Leave-Request-Customization/m-p/342911#M98366

I cannot seem to understand where else i should update the Variables or Collections, since i see such to be able only at the OnStart App Property.

My goal is to leave only Vaction and Sick Leave as types and balance + adding 1 more specific type of leave , which should go as suggested with the folllwing :
 {
                  type: "TypeName",
                  icon: 'iconImage',  /* iconImage and iconSelectedImage represent the image files you have embedded within your app*/
                  iconselected: 'iconSelectedImage',
                  description: "Description..."
               }

Could anyone help me out with navigating thourg this?

PP: I have as well watched Shane + Laura videos and went throug MS Docs articles on Variables and Collections. Still in the dark.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Do you want to customize these three collections: RequesterBalanceCollection, LeaveCollection, BalanceCollection?

    If so, you not only need to modify the formula in App.OnStart, but also you need to change all the formulas about these three collections.

    For example: HomeScreen's OnVisible, LeaveBalanceScreen's OnVisible,ComfirmationScreen's OnVisible, ManagerChangeRequestScreen's OnVisible, ManagerSendEmailScreen's OnVisible,etc.

    Please check all the formulas one by one. Anyone related can not be left.

    Actually, customize  a template is a little complex.

    I recommend you refer template and create a similar app by yourself. Everything will be more easier.

    Best regards,

    Hi @v-yutliu-msft ,

    I just want to resolve the errors, and everywhere i could find relation i modified the forumula, unfortunatelly there are some lefovers in the variables and i am not able to navigate to resolve them.

    I think as suggested, it will be best to create new app and just use the template for reference.

    Thanks anyway!
