Multiple choice fields; one updates the other in two different sharepoint lists

Hello everyone,

I have a question:
I have a power app with two Sjarepoint lists (A and B).

List A collects all skills that exist; List collects all selected employee skills. Both lists have a "Tags" column. Both are multiple choice columns.

If the tags of a skill are adjusted in list A, they should also be updated in list B. Lookup does not work with multiple choice columns. How can I solve this?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi @Masakichi123 ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? What's the relationship between the two lists?

I assume list A has skills as entries, tags for each skill, and then in list B there would be multiple skills of the selected employee. If the skills column in List B is a LookUp column, then I don't think the tags column that should be an associated LookUp column need to be modified.

    Best regards,

    Hello @v-jefferni,

    thanks for your answer!

    Yes that is correct:

List A has skills that have multiple tags associated with them. List B shows all skills that an employee has selected and who thus adopts the tags for the skills.

Now, if someone changes the tags on a skill in list A, they won't be updated in list B. It's basically a 1:n relationship (at least I think so, i am a newbie):
For example, if the tags "slurp" and "cup" exist for the skill "drink coffee" and "cup" is now deleted, then "cup" would have to be deleted everywhere in list B for the employees who have "drink coffee" as a skill.

From my point of view, this would work best with Lookup - but because it's a multiple choice field, I can't use it for a Lookup column.

Do you know how I can solve this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Masakichi123 ,

So, in list B, one employee as an entry can have multiple skills, and each skill has multiple tags in list A, there is also a tags column in list B where you need to sync with list A skill tags, is this the case?

    Best regards,
