Model-Driven App: Business central table used as lookup extremly slow and only partial search data

Newbie at model driven apps.

Setup

- App: Timsheet app to quickly type job and time spent, where I wanted to re-use our BC customers instead of making and filling a new table in dataverse

- was able to get the BC customers in the solution using Business Central Virtual Tables.

- the column Bill-To is does a lookup in BC Customers

Problem

When Typing in new rows I can select the customer from the drop down, but when typing the first characters I was hoping it would filter and enter to select. But it just shows the first 20 something lines alfabeticaly AND is veryyyy slowwww...

Questions

1. Is vitual table the way to go to get a list of almost static data (customer names)? would I better use something that would synch the BC customers to a new dataverse table twice aday or something?

2. is it normal behaviour that typing in the first few characters of a customer name is does not show matching names in the drop down?

3. why is this so slow?

4. Even when you are able to find a match like typing ABC, hitting enter does not select it...

I have the same question (0)
