Deploy custom chatbot canvas to website and persist through entire web app

Hi All,

 

I am have wrote some custom canvas code for a chatbot and have questions. We've deployed the chatbot to the website, but whenever clicking links on the page the chatbot closes the session and will not persist to the next webpage. What is a workaround to this? Angular?

 

Also, we built a close X button but instead of closing the chat session to just refreshes the entire page. How do we build this?
