Generative answers not working most of the time (returns blank)

HI all,

The bot worked fine until 2 weeks ago, no one made any changes.

Now when I ask questions that should be answered using Generative AI, the bot is not responding. Here is an example:

Now the bot isn't responding, it's not even saying "I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to help with that. Can you try rephrasing?...".

The worst of all is that it happens 90% of the time, but sometimes I get the expected answer.

I've added a latency message, so every time the generative answers node is triggered it outputs "Thinking...". As you can see when I say that I'm sick, the node is not being triggered. Any ideas?

And when I try to modify the Conversational Boosting topic, I get this error:

We have a couple of observations that may or may not be related!
About 2 weeks ago, we think Copilot regained the ability to use conversation history. I.E. before that it was answering each question from scratch with no context, but now it can refer to previous questions and answers. Interesting coincidence that you started seeing a problem around the same time.
For the past few days, we have been getting a lot of 'SystemError' responses. Similar to you, it sometimes works, but it very often errors. Our errors look a bit different though.

Good morning,

I hope you are doing well. This error happens when you try to modify the conversational boosting topic, right ? I would get the same (it was on monday). Saving my topic would trigger an error (but the modifications would take place five minutes later).

Doesn't trigger for all of my copilots so I'm kinda confused

Hi,
Yes, every time I modify the topic I get the error (but it's saving the changes anyway). When I try to reset it I get "Failed to reset topic, try again", and nothing happens.

Did your error appear after you tried to export / import a chatbot ?

Hi @ValentinoMW ,

It seems a sudden error, I recommend you check for updates of Copilot. Sometimes, updates may include bug fixes that address issues like this. You can also try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and then reload Copilot Studio to see if the issue is resolved.

Good morning,

I hope you are doing well. I have tried in Private navigation but the error persists. It seems that it is tenant-related (I have a tenant that presents the error everytime I want to modifiy a generative AI topic and one that doesn't).

How can you update copilot studio? It is a cloud platform as a service, no?
