I've recently created a parts approval database in Power Apps with the data held in a SharePoint list that my team uses. We want to have a way for anybody in our organisation to be able to look up what's been approved but give them no way to edit the data in SharePoint. I think it would be easier to do this with a separate App that can view the data without putting in any functionality to edit the date, but I'd need to share the SharePoint list with anybody who wants to use the App. Is there a way to create this App and only give users read only access to the SharePoint list? Ideally, I wouldn't want them to be able to open the list in SharePoint if they tried to.
sharing the app does not mean to share the data. these are 2 seperate things you always have to do,
so what you can do is, that you share the app with the whole organuzation (this will allow tem to open the app). and then give them read only permission to your sharepoint list, this would allow them to see data in the app, they wont be able to create new ones or modify extisting ones,
if my answer helped please mark as verified,
cheers
