How to get AAD attribute into CRM user record using flow

Hi,

I am pretty new to Power Automate and I would need some help.

Currently, users in D365 CRM are created by putting them into an AAD group and assigning a CRM license. So far everything works perfect. My predesessor also created a flow to add the manager attribute from AAD to CRM. Works fine as well.

Since this manager flow works well, I was thinking of automating another (custom) attribute (text only) I currently add manually when a new user in CRM is created.

I thought of something like: When a User is created in CRM and Field "ERP ID" is empty, get AAD User, take attribute "XY" and put it in "ERP ID" field. It would be sufficent to update the table once during the night ...

I tried to set it up but did not succeed, since I could not figure out the correct syntax and connectors. Could anyone help me, please? Thanks in advance 🙂

There is now a new virtual Dataverse Table where AAD users are stored.

Hi, thanks for the tipp. I had a look into this table - unfortunately the attribute I need is not in this table.

Hi, thanks very much for the video. After some trial an error I updated the value on the sandbox (hurray)

I still have some questions, though:
Right now the flow works but I want to limit the List of rows, where the update is applied. Right now the flow would update the value to all users every night.

How do I write the correct query at "filter rows" in List Rows next step?
I wanted: List all records where A is empty and User is enabled. My guess was

and(fieldnamea eq null, isdisabled eq 0)

    but it did not work.

A good alternative would be to query "List all records of Table XY that have been created today".

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance 🙂

I assume all columns are text. If so then the filter rows should be - fieldnamea eq null and isdisabled eq '0'

Firstone = text, isdisabled = boolean

    Unfortunately it does not work.

    Ok this works for me.

    cr0be_boolean eq true and cr0be_name eq ''

Thanks, I figured the filter out.

Now I ran into another problem. Maybe you can help me again.

I have 13 rows returned and would like to insert the value "nickname" from AAD user into the user table in crm. I tested my design and I cancelled after over 1h running time. What did I wrong?

You have the Apply to Each nesting incorrect. I suggest you try something like this:
