I've seen some older posts regarding this issue, but I have either tried their recommendations or they were not answered. Hoping for better luck with this post.
I am seeking advice and assistance to get Power App's Geospatial features (map control) to work in my client's Default environment. We developed the app in a Developer environment and didn't experience any issues. However, once our solution was imported into the Default environment all users (including Sys Admins) get the error message "Cannot connect to mapping service. Check your internet connection or visit Azure Status for more information".
The solution was imported into the Default environment as a Managed Solution.
If you've encountered this before, please post suggestions for how you resolved the issue.
Here are the steps I have taken to resolve the situation. Steps 2-4 were recommended by this article,
- Enabled "Full" option for Map and address services in Environment Features in Power Platform admin center. I reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions.
- Enabled "Power Apps component framework for canvas apps" in Environment Features in Power Platform admin center.
- Checked for Data Policies that may conflict with what is required for geospatial features to work. There are no Data Policies in the environment per Power Platform Admin Center
- Added full access to the Organization table to the Security Role for the app.
The article linked above mentioned creating a custom environment, however, that is not something my client wishes to do.
