Environment throwing strange errors

Dear,

I have some development sandbox Dataverse environments, with a security group configured, that behaves strangely.

9 out of 10 times, some of the default tables do not show in the list of tables, together with an error:

My account is part of the security group and I have the "basic user", "system administrator" and "system customizer" security roles assigned...

In the browsers' network trace I don't see anything pointing me to the cause...

Is there any way I can get more info on why this happens?

Thanks,

Koen

That is bizarre. So, I assume that that last 1/10 it actually does find those tables, yeah? Is this limited to just one environment? That is, do you have other Sandboxes in this same tenant that do not exhibit the same behavior?

@cchannon , the tables do indeed show up sometimes after a refresh...

In the same tenant, I have 4 (DTAP) environments; currently I am only using the Development environment that holds my solution. The other (clean) environments do not have this issue so far...

Within my solution, these tables (only [account] and [contact] are in my solution) also do not fully load, i.e. the display names do not appear:

Yikes! ok, and what if you copy DB over to one of your other sandboxes? Can you get a clean copy that way, or does it travel with this bizarre behavior?

Hi  @cchannon , I just created a fresh additional DEV environment , copied the original environment to it, and the behaviour is now also on this second environment... 😕

Are there any tools to check what is going on?

another behaviour: when the "accounts" table is finally loaded and I try to open it, it fails most of the time with the error:

"The table could not be fetched: Cannot read property 'Label' of null."

also here, after some refreshes, the table details do show up, sometimes accompanied with the original error:
"The tables could not be fetched: Account, ActionCard, ActivityMimeAttachment, Annotation, ChannelAccessProfile, ChannelAccessProfileRule, ChannelAccessProfileRuleItem, ChannelProperty, ChannelPropertyGroup, ConnectionRole, Contact, CustomerRelationship, DuplicateRule, EmailServerProfile, ExpiredProcess, ExternalParty, ExternalPartyItem, GoalRollupQuery, ImportMap, Mailbox, MailMergeTemplate, NewProcess, QueueItem, Report, SharePointDocument, SharePointDocumentLocation, SharePointSite, SyncError, TranslationProcess"

Dang. I was really hoping that would help you escape the problem. I think you'll just have to open a support ticket with MSFT. It sounds like there is something really wrong with this environment, though I cannot for the life of me imagine what that is.

@KoenJanssensPD were you able to figure this one out?

Hi @cchannon , I have raised a ticket at Microsoft. They have found the single and plural label fields for these tables are missing. How that happened and how to solve is not yet known...

I also asked how they found out, but the tools they used are currently only for internal use...

    I'll keep you posted ...

If that's the case, you might be able to fix it yourself with solution xml, right?

I mean, both of those attribs carry in solution xml, so if you still have that broken copy you made, you might try putting these entities into a (managed) solution, exporting it, then cracking it open to put those labels in by hand and re-importing it. I mean, probably won't work but couldn't hurt.
