Can't skip question when generative mode is enabled

Entity recognition doesn't seem to work when generative mode is enabled in settings. I tried it with different questions / topics and entities, but with the same result. Below you can see results from the test bot.

Generative mode - entity not recognized

Classic mode - entity recognized

So first question is, can I somehow fix it? And if not, can you think of any workaround that would let me use generative mode to intelligently choose between topics and knowledge sources, but also skip questions when information is already provided?

Hi GK-04101314-0,

Even in Generative mode, ideally the Entity recognition should work.

Anyhow what i would suggest is to Try using Inputs in Topic. This will be one of the best and efficient way to recognize the Entity and it worked for me everytime without any issues.

It is similar to the Entity Recognition only. Please make sure to provide proper description with some examples so that LLM can identify and work as expected.

Hi Vinoth,

when using topic input in generative mode, I am not able to change entity type. Therefore this approach is not very helpful :-( Please see the recording below for reference.

PS. I was trying to mark your response as an answer, but nothing really happens.

PPS. How can I tag someone? I tried using @ but with no luck.

Dear GK-04101314-0,

For the below question, the reason is not because of the generative mode.

You have the settings - How will the copilot fill this input?

If it is mentioned as Dynamically fill with best option, then the Copilot would take the User entire response only.

You can change that to "Set as a value". if so, u will be able to change the data type.

Hi Vinoth,

unfortunately it's not true. With the dynamic fill I can use any predefined entity (Number, City, Age, etc.) except for Multiple choice options. I just can't select a custom one (neither closed list or regex based).

Hi!

I'm having exactly this same error, the dynamic fill works on the input if the entity is prebuilt but not if it's custom.

Were you able to resolve it?
