Best way to duplicate a Dataverse solution and update references to copied tables

Hi everyone,

I need to duplicate a solution that includes Dataverse tables, an app, and flows in the same environment. The goal is to create a copy where:

  1. The Dataverse tables are also duplicated.
  2. The app and flows in the copied solution reference the duplicated tables instead of the original ones.

I’d like to know the best and most efficient way to achieve this. Is there any recommended approach or tool for such scenarios?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    here are the steps:

    Export the Original Solution

Duplicate Dataverse Tables - Go to Tables in the Power Apps Maker Portal.  For each table in your solution:  Open the table and click Save As. Provide a new name for the duplicate table (e.g., OriginalTable_Copy). The new table will not contain data from the original table.
If data duplication is required, use Power Automate or Excel Export/Import to copy data

    Modify and Import the Solution
    Edit the Solution Zip File:
Extract the .zip file from the exported solution. - Locate the references to the original tables, app, and flows in the extracted files. Replace the references to the original tables with the names of the duplicated tables.
Key areas to edit: App Reference: Update references in the app JSON. Flow Reference: Update triggers and actions in the flow JSON files. Recompress the files into a .zip.

Reimport the Solution: Go to the Maker Portal and create a new solution (e.g., DuplicatedSolution). Import the modified .zip file. Ensure the components (app, flows, etc.) now reference the duplicated tables.

Update App References- Open the copied app in the Power Apps Studio. Update the Items and Default properties of galleries, forms, and controls to reference the duplicated tables.

Thank you for your answer, @SaiRT14 . My solution it's too complex to make those changes in the Solution Zip File, so I'm duplicating more manually. Nevertheless, how do you Save As the Dataverse tables? I cannot find such a button.

    Thank you!
