Snowflake -> Power Apps with on-premises data gateway

Hi!

Power Apps has a Snowflake-connector v2 (preview state) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/snowflakev2/

What I'm interested in, is the possibility to establish Snowflake -> Power Apps connection via on-premises data gateway, like one can between Snowflake and Power BI Service.

Is it possible to use on-premises data gateway with Snowflake -> Power Apps loads/connections, and if, how?

If not, then https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/snowflakev2/ seems way to go.

From the current one, I don't think you can use the gateway, there is not an option to choose between online and on-premises.

so, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/snowflakev2/ it is the way to go.

Hi @stampcoin,

If snowflake-v2 connector is the way to go, a new question comes to my mind: can I control, or what is the IP-range, that I would need to whitelist in Snowflake for the connection? With on-premises data gateway, I can precisely pinpoint IPs of the gateway server(s)..

Here is an reference you need.

Managed connectors outbound IP addresses

You can use Service tag to reduce complexity, but sometime it's not enough, you have to use the service service tag discovery API, also described in the link.

It will indeed take a while to get your 'Own' IP list on the security perspective.
