Hey everyone, I found this page today. Publish and share your app using Power Apps app in Teams - Power Apps | Microsoft DocsHowever, I am not seeing the button as described here. Instead, I am getting the old button
Anyone found a way to use this new functionality? It would be great to be able to push an update right to teams rather than having to reinstall the app every time I need to make a change.
That's only there if you use the Power Automate studio INSIDE the Teams client. The screenshot you have comes from the regular Power Apps studio.
Inside Teams
Regular Power Apps
@Pstork1 this means that if i have users that use the app outside of teams and users that use it on teams, i have to publish once on regular power apps and then on power apps from teams?
If you create the app outside of Teams and Publish it normally you can still add it to a Teams site using a Tab. Publishing it to Teams directly just shortcuts the process of creating a tab in a channel and adding the app to Teams. If the app is going to be used by people outside of Teams then there is no reason to create it using the client inside Teams.
@Pstork1 ,
I have created the app outside of teams but i now i want to add it inside and be able to publish it. How shall i import it because it is not shown in power apps page inside teams
If you created it using the web interface there is no reason to import it into Teams and Publish it. YOu can simple add a Power Apps Tab in Teams and load the app. No need to import it into Teams first. Or you can follow the instructions here: Embed an app in Teams - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
I did add it on team tab but whenever i made a new publish i had to remove and add the app in order to be updated. Maybe i am missing something.
now publish is working... I dont know what i did wrong on previous times :).
Thanks for your help
