Hi all,
I'm opening this post because I need assistance. It's related to sharepoint lists and powerapps so I was unsure under which forum I should open this topic.
I have a powerapps canvas that is connected to multiple sharepoint lists. When an user wants to enter the app, if they don't have permissions on the different sharepoint lists, they get an error. So we have to give them view access to all the lists, and edit access on those where they need to edit (For example, when using a form in the app that saves a record into a sharepoint list).
Our main concern is that, by giving them view and edit access, they can see and edit the data from sharepoint itself, meaning outside the powerapps. We don't want the users to be able to see all of the data behind that app nor be able to edit it outside the app as well. How can I fix this issue? Is there a way that they can successfully use the app without having to give them access to the sharepoint lists?
Thanks in advance,
Mica
Hi @MicaBassi ,
You need to give them access to read/write, however if you give then a custom permission level in SharePoint based on Contribute, but with View Application Pages removed, they should not be able to access any view of the list in SharePoint.
