Best Practices for Initiating Live Chat for Omnichannel Copilot from a Custom Canvas

I am looking to initiate a Live Chat for my Omnichannel-connected Copilot from a Custom Canvas I designed. The standard Omnichannel widget has limitations in terms of custom styling, handling functions, and flexibility, so I would like to implement my own UI for chat initiation.

From a UI perspective, what are the best practices to follow when implementing a custom chat experience? Additionally, how can I initiate the chat session programmatically using the Omnichannel SDK?

 

 


 

 



Any guidance, SDK references, or implementation examples would be greatly appreciated!
